I started CrossFit in May 2012, and it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come in such a short time! As an ex-college athlete, I’ve spent the last 10 years looking for an exercise program that works for me. I’ve tried various gyms, programs such as p90x, running, etc. It seemed that no matter what I tried it became monotonous. I missed the competiveness I had in college, I got bored quickly working out in front of the TV and running wasn’t working well because I started getting knee pain. I needed something exciting and out of the ordinary, something that would challenge me and push me to my limit. Then, fortunately, my friend talked me into coming to CFTP. I planned to try it out for a month to see if I liked it, but I was hooked after the first week! I love the welcoming environment, the encouragement from trainers and other athletes, the feeling of exhaustion after a particularly painful WOD, and most of all I love setting personal goals and doing things I never thought I could.
So five months later my knee pain is gone, I feel as strong as I’ve ever been, and I look forward to every workout because they never get boring! I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and I plan on doing CrossFit throughout my pregnancy. I’ve already seen a huge difference and I’m excited to see how the remainder of my pregnancy and delivery goes. CrossFit has become a big part of my life and I’m so grateful for the difference it has made. I look forward to many years of health and wellness because of this awesome program!
I’m so excited to be a trainer at CFTP!! I love working with all of the amazing athletes and watching everyone’s progress. I have learned so much and I look forward to increasing my knowledge and skills, and helping others do the same.
