9.14.2014 Coach Dan’s Sunday Spotlight


Good morning CFTP,

I love Sundays because it is the start of another week. No matter what happened the past week we can start anew every Sunday. This Sunday is especially special because it is the day before a lifestyle change. It is the day before the Paleo Challenge. I am more excited about this challenge this year than I have ever been before. I am excited for those of you who have signed up and have decided to join me and the rest of the CFTP family on this journey. I am, as we speak, preparing my meals for the week and getting my game plan together. If you haven’t joined us for this challenge, it’s not too late! This next 8 weeks will be a challenge for sure but I cannot wait to see the results! I know that with consistency you can be successful. With this challenge you will be marking down if you were 100 percent for each meal… It forces us to be honest with ourselves. You will see results if you follow the challenge. It is something all of us can do. The hardest part is signing up. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; for every accomplishment there is a goal that we set that got us to that accomplishment. This is why I feel it’s so important for us to participate in competitions. Whether it be this upcoming Paleo Challenge, the upcoming WODsomniac or any other local competition, Regionals, or any number of races that are out there. When we sign up and we put our name and in most cases money on the line we are committed. It gives us a starting point. So if you haven’t signed up but you are ready and willing to make that change then get signed up today! We’d love to have you along for the ride!

I really like this quote. Let’s start this together now and in two weeks we will be two weeks better than we are now. Then in 4 weeks we will be 4 weeks better. It all starts with that first step.

I want to express my gratitude for all the hard work you put in at The Point. Nothing makes me happier than seeing you successful. Every time you PR or every time I see you push yourself to that limit it makes my day. When I see you on the ground having given all that you got it motivates me to work harder and push further. Don’t ever give up on yourself and I can promise you I will never give up on you.
