Coach Dan’s Sunday Spotlight 7.15.2018

Good Morning CFTP,

It has been so awesome reading everyone’s whys! Seriously incredible! Thank you for sharing your whys on social media and for letting us get to know you better. Today, I wanted to spotlight your whys. Take a look at what some of your peeps posted about why they CrossFit.

I seriously got emotional when reading these and it means so much to me.

For each of these posts… You will receive an extra 5 entries into tonight’s raffle that will be going down at 9 PMish… Stay tuned to watch the live feed on Facebook in our downstairs dungeon!

For next week I have a new topic for you all to post about. For your #salutethepoint posts I want you to tell me something that you can currently do that you couldn’t do before you started CrossFit. Or something you are currently doing that you never thought you’d be able to do.

Since opening up CrossFit The Point, I have had numerous athletes come in who were told by a doctor or by someone in authority that they would never be able to do something… Then after a lot of hard work and dedication, one by one they proved their doctors wrong. One example comes to mind… My dad had a total knee replacement at 66 years old. When they finished they told him he’d never run again (Except on an elliptical or treadmill) and that he would never have to range of motion to get into a full squat. After a lot of hard work and consistency he has since proven both of those wrong. At 72 years old he can complete full squats and can run, albeit short distances. I am so proud of him and for him not accepting something just because someone told him that it was going to be that way.

I am excited to hear your stories of proving people wrong and defying the odds. CrossFit is for everyone and I believe that we are capable of more than some will give us credit for.

Enjoy reading last week’s posts below!
