Good Afternoon CFTP,

It was so much fun getting together with a few of you last night at Beast Mode and I look forward to 12 Days of Christmas WOD tomorrow!

When we decided to do CFTP Angel, I had an idea of what might get contributed and I was super excited to be able to be part of spreading Christmas cheer within our community. When all was said and done, I was floored at the contributions that came in. Not only the number of people who were willing to contribute but also the amount of money we raised for the people in need within our community.

I just want to let everyone know that, within our box, we have some of the most charitable people I have ever met. These people who work out beside us day in and day out are so willing to help out at a moment’s notice.

This is truly a magical time of year and I am so impressed with how giving and generous you all are. Thank you so much for joining together to help bless the lives of those close to us. It was a special feeling to be able to hand over the CFTP Angel cards to our CFTP Family Members and to see their reactions and to hear about how much these contributions helped in their time of need.

A couple of our angels wrote a thank you to everyone and have asked me to share it with you:

“Dear CFTP Family-
I am overcome with emotion and wanted to thank you for your kindness. I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community that embraces its members and becomes a second family to them. Going to the gym helped me get through some of the darkest days in my life.  I am humbled and will forever be grateful for the relationships made through the gym. Crossfit the Point is second to none. Thank you for the donations, kind words, smiles, hugs, and friendships.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing community.
Sincerely-
Your CFTP Angel”

“This has been a very challenging month for me and my family, more so than at any time in my life. The culmination of it all was on Friday when I laid to rest my sister. I decided to come in to the box that evening to get a temporary relief from it all. When I got there, LaDee handed me an envelope with “CFTP angel” on it and it took everything I had to keep it together. I knew if I opened it right then I wouldn’t be able to WOD. So I opened it when I got home and sure enough I bawled like a baby. I can’t remember a time when I’ve been so low emotionally and then so high all in the same day. The enormous amount of generosity from my CFTP family is overwhelming. I’ve had the opportunity of working out with most of you and it truly is a pleasure and an honor to be around such amazing people. My wife often asks why I go to the box so much when I have so many physical ailments and I simply tell her it’s my home away from home. With much love, me and my family thank you. – Casey, Sacha and boys.”

Thank you angels for allowing us to be of service to you during your time of trial. I know that if the shoe was on the other foot, you’d do the same for each one of us.
