Happy Easter CFTP!
And Happy Birthday to us! We are turning 12 years old tomorrow! Crazy to think back to when I first established this gym and how much has changed. I am so grateful for every single member who has come through our doors. I go back and look at pictures over the years and just smile. While some of those who were here early on aren't around anymore, they helped shape what CrossFit The Point is and will always be like family to me.
CFTP Birthday WOD
Tomorrow we will be doing "Bull". It is a hero WOD and it is also our Birthday WOD. I can't recall how this became our birthday WOD but it started 11 years ago and we can't stop now! Bull may be one of the harder Hero WODs I have ever done but the bright side now is that we have leveled it out for you and while it will be challenging for all, it will be possible as well.
No, "Bull" is not an April Fool's Day Joke...
Strength Cycles
We are coming to an end of our strength cycle which means some retesting. This week we will be doing a retest of our Clean and Jerk on Thursday and the rest of the tests from this cycle will be completed next week.
We will then start a new cycle. As of now, I am in the process of exploring bringing in an outside program for our programming again. Mostly looking at PRVN. I love to program for you all and have actually really enjoyed being back and doing it for the past 6 months or so but I have heard nothing but glowing reviews about the PRVN programming and thought with this strength cycle ending, it might not be a bad time to give it a try as a gym.
I would love to hear your opinions. I know some of you couldn't care less... "Just tell me what to do" but I know some have strong opinions about this. So if you do have suggestions or anything, please email me dan@crossfitthepoint.com. I will take your thoughts into account. If you have loved the programming over the past 6 months, let me know. If you are ready for a change, let me know. It won't hurt my feelings. Been doing this long enough to not take it personally.
Happy Easter
Now go enjoy the rest of your Easter and I will see you at The Point!
