Happy New Year!
Here I sit sore from head to toe from Snowy Murph and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you to all of you who joined me to celebrate my 10-year "Murphversary"! It was so great to have all of you there with me. I look forward to it every year.
New Year, New Challenge
I am so excited to team up with 360 Nutrition this year and bring you a New Year Challenge. I'll let Erin Love, founder of 360 Nutrition, explain what it's all about:
We (360) believe good health is based on:
-Self care
- Acts of Service
-Hormesis
-Stress control
-Optimized sleep
-Exercise
-Sun
-Vegetables

-Community
-Creating hormone balance,
a healthy gut and a detoxed brain
Join us January 10th for a 3-week challenge that will help us return to healthy habits we already know, and then expand on those habits.
Every Sunday night at 8 pm MST we will hold a webinar that teaches about how sleep, stress, and protein effect our hormones.
We will also work to get Bingos on our boards related to all the values listed above.
The top two winners will automatically be enrolled into our Phase 2 Challenge which will be another three weeks of education and bingo boards.
The winner at the end of the six weeks will receive over $800 in prizes!

Dexabody Side Hustle
The second challenge that we have going on is our quarterly side hustle. For this one all you have to do is sign up for the dexabody scan when it comes to The Point on the 14th of January. Then you pay $50 for the side hustle. Your side hustle money will all be put into a pot. You will rescan in April and the person who loses the highest percentage of fat will win the pot!
To sign up for the dexabody scan please go here! We need at least 25 signed up prior to the date for them to commit to coming. It doesn't cost anything to reserve a spot. You will pay their fee directly to them on the day of the scan.
Starting point
Everyone has a different starting point currently. It doesn't matter if you are coming in daily or haven't been into the gym for a month. The key to success is assessing your situation and making goals and plans to better it. Here are a couple of steps I'd like everyone to do:
- Take an honest look at your situation.
- Set a short term goal (1 week to 1 month) that will put your one step closer to your fitness goals. Ex.
- If you haven't been in a few weeks. Set a goal to come at least twice a week for a month.
- If you have been coming a couple times a week, look to up that to 3-4 times a week for a month.
- Set a medium length goal 3-6 months.
- Set a year-end goal.
Just do these few little steps to start. As you start to achieve these goals, you can set more specific goals, i.e clean max, squat max, double unders in a row, muscle-ups etc.
Consistency in the gym is the #1 contributor to accomplishing our fitness goals. Being at the gym is key. The motivation gained from attending the gym regularly cannot be replicated. We are so lucky to be surrounded by our friends at the gym. Every time I come in I am reminded of my personal goals because I see all of you accomplishing yours.
I am really excited for 2021 and I can't wait to see you all get healthier and fitter than ever.
