Good Afternoon CFTP!
First off, huge shoutout to Coach JoAnn and the successfully ran 2025 Open! She did an amazing job and I am so appreciative of everything she did.
2025 CFTP OPEN FINALE
Friday night was awesome. A bit smaller than the previous weeks but still a blast. Going into it, 9:30/Noon team had a substantial lead. Everyone else would have to win 4 of the 5 events to take the victory away from them but... It wasn't in the cards. the 9:30/Noon team expanded their lead and became repeat winners! Congratulations!
On Friday we went head to head and competed over 5 workouts. At the end of it all, we watched an awesome slide show of The Open and was able to relive some Open highlights. We had an awesome nacho bar and it all was just such a blast.
Spirit of the Games
This year we selected two individuals who exemplified the spirit of the games. Those two amazing peeps went out of their way to encourage others and to cheer them on.
Jonny Love and Tania Ouimette are your Spirit of the Games winners!
Rookie of the Year
Our Rookie of the year is Tanner Olson! This is his first year competing in the open and he was consistently in the top 5 each and every week!
Comeback Kid
Jared Mortensen! Jared took a break from The Point but came back strong in this year's open! It is so great having him back at it!
NEXT BIG EVENT!
CrossFit The Point is turning 13 on April 1st! To celebrate, we will be throwing a good old fashioned Beast Mode the Saturday night following the first, Saturday April 5th! More details to come but put it on your calendars for Saturday the 5th of April! This is going to be a big event.
What is Beast Mode?
We started Beast Mode back when there were 3 owners. The Original owners of CrossFit The Point. Myself, Dave Martinez and Ryan Beatse. The three of us would make an announcement Saturday afternoon that there is going to be a beast mode at The Point. Usually these started at like 10 PM and we would pack the house! I mean 30 to 40 people with a 5 hour notice. Don't worry... This won't start at 10 PM. ;)
Once everyone arrived, we would reveal the workout. This workout generally would be long, grueling, dirty and just a huge challenge. We would all suffer through it together. The workout usually took about an hour. So join us. We make sure there are versions for every level athlete and it will be a blast!
